Reporting to the Head of HR, this is an exciting opportunity for a CIPD-qualified and seasonedĀ HR AdvisorĀ to work across all areas of a manufacturing business to help shape and deliver the people strategy. This role is office-based at a state-of-the-art facility in Tamworth, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00Role Overview:As an HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supportingĀ business areas teams, managers, and key stakeholders to help build organisation and people capability. Shape and implement effective people strategies and activities (in getting the right people in the right place at the right time) to help the business to deliver its strategy.

Your efforts will contribute to our company's continued growth by building organisational and people capability, shaping effective people strategies, and ensuring the right talent is in the right place at the right time.

Responsibilities:

  • Review policies and procedures to ensure all comply with legislation and good employment practice
  • Support in the development and rollout of the people strategy, working with the Head of HR to ensure all annual goals are achieved
  • Assist with people challenges, working with managers and employees to effectively resolve issues and assist with all ER issues
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers to enhance overall people performance
  • Improve the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to exit interviews, ensuring the employee journey is seamless
  • Assist in the deployment of HR initiatives, including new processes and services and employee retention initiatives
  • Drive a high-performance culture by identifying skills gaps, creating development plans, and arranging trainingĀ 
  • Produce monthly reports of activities and trends for the purposes of management and the Board of Directors
  • Be on hand to help with payroll and advise on any payroll anomalies

Skills & Experience Required:

  • CIPD qualified, with extensive HR experience, which includes managing complex ER cases
  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering industry would be advantageousĀ 
  • Extensive knowledge of the entire employee lifecycle and enjoys a high-performing workplace and driving positive change
  • History of delivering HR strategies that focus on performance and employee engagement
  • Strong coaching and training experience with the ability to develop and deliver a broad range of training
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to influence and liaise at all levels
  • Keeps up to date with HR policies, procedures, and employment law
  • Organised with a strong eye for detail and excellent time management skills
  • Personable and approachable, who isn't afraid to challenge and remains calm when faced with a challenge
