I'm seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join a successful business in Tamworth. You will be responsible for the application and implementation of all relevant safety, quality systems, customer compliance system & legal requirements ensuring that the site standards are constantly maintained.

Description

  • Ensure the food safety, quality and legality of all products.
  • To update and maintain the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Systems on site.
  • Ownership of the HACCP team, HACCP manual and running of HACCP team meetings.
  • Ownership of the VACCP and TACCP team, manual and protocols.
  • Oversee NPD work and paperwork from a technical/quality viewpoint.
  • Ensure that all products manufactured are within specification and meet customer requirements and drive compliance and continuous improvement throughout the site.
  • Ensure all aspects of the technical management of the site are being met.
  • To originate and deliver a regular quality meeting on site, to ensure traceability is being achieved for all factory products. Ensuring efficient procedures are in place and trained out in order for a consistent quality product.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures relating to operation of the quality and technical department are monitored and adhered to.
  • Ensuring all site standards meet the current BRCGS and any other customer technical requirements

Mon - Fri - Days - Hours are variable as we're happy for the candidate to design their own, however the expectation is that they will be loosely standard business hours

Profile

You will be an experience Quality/Technical Manager having worked in a food manufacturing environment, as well as:

  • Recognised qualification (E.g. Food Science etc.)
  • Level 3 HACCP & Food Safety as a minimum
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering continuous improvement in technical, quality and food safety standards.
  • To clearly communicate and influence internally and externally at all levels of an organisation
  • Proactive, solution driven approach with a high level of flexibility is required and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with sometimes conflicting needs & wants.
  • Knowledge of all customer compliance system requirements
  • Experience of mentoring production staff in all aspects of technical standards, and organising refresher training as required, in conjunction with the site trainer.
