We are searching for a Junior System Administrator to join an innovative and forward-thinking provider of fleet and asset management software.

  • Up to £25,000 per annum
  • Hybrid Working - Tamworth Office/Remote (Mondays & Thursday in Office)
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + 1 extra day each year after 2 years (up to 30 days)

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications.
  • Laptop Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of company laptops, ensuring all devices are up-to-date and secure.
  • Server Management: Maintain and optimise the server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Network Management: Ensure the reliability and security of the network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • SAN/Storage Management: Oversee and manage Storage Area Network (SAN) systems, including storage allocation, performance optimisation and capacity monitoring. Implement backup strategies, ensuring data redundancy.
  • Anti-virus Management: Implement and manage anti-virus solutions to protect the company’s digital assets from malware and other threats to ensure security compliance.

Essential Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar System Administrator role.
  • A strong knowledge of Windows system administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
  • Competence in administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • A clean UK Driving licence with access to own vehicle as there may be occasional travel to the Northampton data centre throughout the year.
  • Are a UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Multi-layered network design and management.
  • Experience with SAN management, specifically PowerStore.
  • Linux operating systems.
  • Private Branch Exchange (PBX)
