Plant Fitter Opportunity

Plant Fitter Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructions from management or site project teams as required.
  • Maintain and service specialist road sweeper plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with legislation, manufacturer requirements, and agreed service schedules.
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a range of plant and equipment.
  • Take a proactive approach to maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, assisting colleagues in maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Accurately complete documentation or electronic records in a timely manner.

Plant Fitter Requirements:

  • Experience in an operational maintenance environment.
  • Skilled in the servicing and maintenance of HGVs and large diesel-driven plant, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of road sweepers (Aebi Schmidt, Bucher Municipal, Scarab Sweepers, Stock Sweepers, and Kärcher) is highly advantageous.
  • Mechanical or electrical qualifications (time-served).
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs on HGVs and large diesel-driven plant.
  • A full UK driving licence, HGV Class 2 qualification would be desirable
  • Flexibility to work away from home at times
