Our Client, one of the UK's leading specialist logistics companies is seeking a customer focused Transport Administratorto join their team Tamworth.

This is a temporary position, likely to lead to a permanentposition, offering a competitive salary and great employment benefits. Working for a market leader within the Fuel Distribution industry.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, your main responsibilities would include; (but not be limited to) ensuring that vehicles are routed and utilised effectively and that all customer requirements are met on time. This will involve completing the following duties either personally or by delegating to subordinates;

  • Efficient vehicle routing
  • Process development
  • Damage/consignment investigations
  • Customer complaints
  • Compliance
  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Holidays/absence reporting

You will form effective relationships with customers and sub-contractors as well as internal contacts including drivers, operations managers and traffic office colleagues.

You will have a wide skill set including;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving/decision making ability
  • Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work without supervision and on own initiative
  • High levels of drive and enthusiasm
  • Good leadership skills
  • Team player
  • Numerate and IT literate
  • Good operational understanding

Requirements;

  • Educated to minimum A level or equivalent with GCSE passes in Maths and English
  • IT literate in MS Office, Advanced level MS Excel would be advantageous
