Linkster is currently looking for a Transport Coordinator on permanent basis for our Client in Tamworth. Immediate start available.

Main duties of Transport Coordinator:

• Support the Operations Manager in day-to-day duties.
• Oversee the smooth and efficient running of transport and logistics operations.
• Schedule all deliveries and manage documentation for deliveries and collections.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle and driver hour regulations, operator licence requirements, and health and safety standards.
• Manage vehicle and crane inspections.
• Oversee fuel cards, defect reports, and accident management.
• Ensure all plant and machinery are maintained in good repair.
• Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist on the Trade Counter as required.

Requirements for the Transport Coordinator:

• Demonstrated experience in transport coordination or logistics, preferably within construction-related sector or builders merchants
• In-depth knowledge of UK transport laws and delivery operations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues efficiently.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and perform well under pressure.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and fleet management tools is a plus.
• Possession of a full UK driving license is beneficial.
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Dedication to upholding excellent health and safety standards.
