Experienced Service Engineer looking for a new role?

Are you ready to take your technical skills on the road? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Service Engineer to join a friendly and experienced team of Service Engineers covering the Midlands (and beyond). This is your chance to contribute to a leading name in the design and servicing of ventilation systems!

What's the Role About?

As a Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen ventilation systems. Your responsibilities will include carrying out preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns at non-trading sites, fault-finding, and repairing equipment including controls. You'll also be involved in commissioning activities, detailed reporting, and guiding trainee engineers-all while maintaining a high level of technical skill and customer satisfaction.

Working Hours:

  • Contracted for 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Day Shift: 05:00 - 14:30
  • Night Shift: 21:00 - 04:30
  • Night Rota: Approximately 1 week every 8 weeks
  • Callout Rota: 1 week in every 5
  • Weekend overtime available to suit business requirements

Who Are They Looking For?

The ideal candidate will be energetic, passionate, and possess a strong focus on quality and customer care. They should demonstrate excellent listening skills to understand customer requirements and system issues, while also being able to work both independently and collaboratively with the service team.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a field engineer or similar role.
  • Strong technical understanding of machinery and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic control systems and PLCs.
  • Electrical qualifications, NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher.
  • A keen analytical mind and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
