MONDAY - THURSDAY: 07.30 - 16.30 & FRIDAY: 07.30 - 12.45

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Workshop Operatives to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

This role is a permanent role from day one.

Day to Day Duties

• Adding fittings into vehicles, such as draws and shutters• Adding electrical fittings and adding paintwork detail• Use of hand and power tools to assemble and install fittings• Use of machinery• Working to 3D drawings• Plastic Fabrication and working against drawings to create bodies of vehicles

Essential Skills

Essential skills needed to be a Workshop Operative are:

• Previous use of hand and power tools• Previous use of machinery• Ability to read 3D drawings• Ability to measure

Desirable Experience

You would be suitable for this role if you have:

• Worked within a plastic fabrication environment previously• Worked any of the following jobs: window fitter, shop fitter, carpenter or mechanic

Training

All training is given on the job and you will be working with a member of staff on each area until you are trained and confident to work alone.
