I'm currently working on an exciting HSE Advisor position for an established Market Leading Manufacturing company in the West Midlands. You will need to have experience working as a HSE Advisor within Engineering and Manufacturing companies with knowledge and understanding of UK Waste and Environmental regulations.


Role Description

  • Establishing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure that Health and Safety strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives, and operational needs to enable the company to function effectively.
  • Establishing long term Health and Safety initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor industry trends and H&S legislation changes, advising management on the necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit auditory reports when required.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and spot check audits to identify potential hazards and recommended corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice on H&S related issues, acting as the primary point of contact relating to Health and Safety matters.
  • Analyse data & utilise KPI's to identify improvements in all areas relating to H&S.
  • Recommend preventative and implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or similar qualification (or qualified by experience)
  • Minimum 3 years in the Manufacturing
  • Minimum 5 years in HSE related activities in a development and/or production environment
  • Application of QMS tools and techniques
  • Understanding or experience within Chemical Engineering / Chemistry would be advantageous
  • ISO14000, ISO9001, ISO45001
