I'm currently working on an exciting HSE Advisor position for an established Market Leading Manufacturing company in the West Midlands. You will need to have experience working as a HSE Advisor within Engineering and Manufacturing companies with knowledge and understanding of UK Waste and Environmental regulations.
Role Description
- Establishing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
- Ensure that Health and Safety strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives, and operational needs to enable the company to function effectively.
- Establishing long term Health and Safety initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends and H&S legislation changes, advising management on the necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit auditory reports when required.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and spot check audits to identify potential hazards and recommended corrective actions.
- Provide expert advice on H&S related issues, acting as the primary point of contact relating to Health and Safety matters.
- Analyse data & utilise KPI's to identify improvements in all areas relating to H&S.
- Recommend preventative and implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree or similar qualification (or qualified by experience)
- Minimum 3 years in the Manufacturing
- Minimum 5 years in HSE related activities in a development and/or production environment
- Application of QMS tools and techniques
- Understanding or experience within Chemical Engineering / Chemistry would be advantageous
- ISO14000, ISO9001, ISO45001
