Machine Shop Assistant

Contek Recruitment are currently exclusively working with a precision engineering client, based in Tamworth, West Midlands. They are currently approaching a busy period and are now looking for aMachine Shop Assistantto join their team on apermanentbasis.

Our client specialise in the manufacture of precision parts and components for the Defence, Nuclear, and Aerospace industries.

Working Hours:Monday to Thursday (07:45am until 16:15pm) and Friday (07:45am until 15:15pm)

Pay:13-15per hour, dependent on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helping out around the workshop, assisting machinists with anything that they need.
• Basic assembly of metal components.
• Emptying swarf containers.
• Topping up fluids and coolants for the machinery.
• Keeping the workshop in a clean and tidy state.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Previous experience working with metal parts is preferred.
• Ability to commute to Tamworth is required.
