This would be an excellent opportunity to join a leading recycling business with a presence in four continents. As such, they are keen to make a long-term investment into new staff members who are looking to secure a career in the metallics industry.Main responsbilities for our Metal Recycling Operative role include:- Operating machinery (such as plasma cutters and bandsaws) to break down automotive components- Strip parts down with use of hand tools- Sorting parts into seperate categories by hand- Use of Forklift truck to move the granulated productsaround the shop floor- Working in a sampler station to help identify the concentration of precious metals in each component (e.g. platinum/radium)Although you will likely be assigned a core area, it would be the company's vision to offer cross-training in multiple areas to maximise your knowledge. Workwear will be provided, it may be worth noting that you will be required to wear a full protective mask & visor to help provide proper ventilation.For all applicants we are seeking the following core skills:- Trustworthy and hard-working attitude- Encouraged to learn new skills- Somebody with proven experience in a manufacturing/ engineering/ process plant environment- Comfortable with working in an environment that can be dusty- Able to use basic machinery and hand toolsHours of work: 0700-1600 Monday to FridayRate of pay: £12.44, increasing to £14.00 after 12 weeks of serviceAdditional benefits for our Metal Recycling Operative role include:x6 monthly bonus structureEarly finish on the last Friday of every monthFree breakfast or lunch on a monthly basisIf you are interested in our Metal Recycling Operative role, please click to apply.
