Field Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer required for a Global Engineering Manufacturer of high security doors for the Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Construction and others within engineering.

Field Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business across the United Kingdom and support the sales team with quotations, technical meetings and presentations to prospective clients.

Field Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer will be home based and cover the United Kingdom. Field Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer will ideally have a mechanical engineering background and live in the Midlands or surrounding areas.

Role:

  • Developing new business opportunities across the United Kingdom in the Defence, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Construction and other sectors within engineering.
  • Meet with current accounts to increase sales opportunities
  • Creating and pursing leads to win new business
  • Attend technical meetings to offer advice and guidance to clients
  • Support the sales team with quotations
  • Give presentations to prospects and current accounts and negotiate on prices
  • Attend exhibitions to network and meet new clients
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure the needs of clients are fulfilled
  • Work towards sales targets
  • Strategise and plan which accounts you are going to target and how you will achieve this


Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Field Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer
  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, HND, HNC) or a similar discipline such as Civil Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
  • Located in the Midlands or surrounding areas
