Position - Nursery manager
Are you a nurturing, passionate and inspirational leader? Aspire People are working with a brand new nursery based in Tamworth who are looking for a Nursery Manager. The nursery have a child-centric approach puts a premium on fun which ultimately is intended to nurture a kinder and more considerate generation. Your core skills in motivating and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and unrivalled experiences for families.
Role
* To ensure overall responsibility for the effective daily management of the Nursery, to have a sounds knowledge of all Company Policies, Procedures, Statutory Welfare Requirements and Ofsted expectations and requirements, to ensure that these are maintained at all times
* To be a role model to the staff team. Be able to role model high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with children, dealing with staff and parent issues as they arrive.
* Overall responsibility for the safety, security and wellbeing of all of the children, staff, visitors at all times
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Person within the setting dealing with and supporting any issues
* To lead the nursery to reach Outstanding with Ofsted To complete a rigorous action plan that supports the development of areas set out in the Corporate Plan To embrace, understand and promote the nursery
Requirements
* A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Level 3 or above).
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a childcare setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of current legislation relating to childcare and education.
* Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
* First Aid certification is desirable but not essential.
