PRU Pupil Referral Unit Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a change? We work closely with a PRU located within the Heart of Tamworth. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work closely with students and support them on their education journey. This is the ideal opportunity for anyone looking to have a positive impact on students educational journey.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the classrooms activities by assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and catering to students from diverse backgrounds
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance, ensuring their unique learning requirements are met.
  • Contributing to a positive atmosphere by nurturing students with behavioural challenges and complex needs
  • Assisting in the preparation and the organisation of teaching materials and ensuring that resources are accessible and conducive to a productive learning environment.
  • Regularly assess and report on student progress, collaborating with teachers to identify areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Support the integration of students with diverse needs into mainstream education settings, fostering a sense of belonging and promoting inclusivity
  • Taking part in group activities to promote an inclusive environment for all learners.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working within a similar role or within a Residential Care position
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team and other professionals to create a supportive and cohesive learning environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 85.00-90.00 per day
