Job Title: Trainee Welder                   

Location: Tamworth                     

Job type: Temp to Permanent

Rate: £13.00 per hour PAYE, increasing to £14.00per hour after 13 weeks

Hours: Monday- Thursday 07:00-15:30, Friday 07:00-14:00

 

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Trainee Welder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their welding skills in a professional setting. As a Trainee Welder, you will receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced welders, learning a range of welding techniques and gaining valuable industry experience.

 

Trainee Welder responsibilities:

Prepare and clean materials for welding, ensuring quality and precision.

Operate and monitor machinery in accordance with production requirements.

Assist experienced welders with various welding tasks, including setup, preperation, and finishing.

Participate in training programs to learn welding techniques and enhance skills and knowledge.

Ensure health and safety compliant.

Assist in general workshop tasks and duties as required.

 

The Trainee Welder should have the following skills and experience:

A genuine interest in welding and a desire to learn and develop skills in the field.

Background working in engineering, fabrication or sheet metal

Basic understanding of welding tools and equipment

Strong attention to detail and precision.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
