Electrician

Active Personnel is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance and Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing both pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks, along with new installation work across various systems, including CCTV, speed cameras, and ANPR equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and test electrical systems in accordance with the 18th edition standards.
• Fault finding and analysis on electrical installations, supply cables, CCTV networks, and street furniture.
• Perform fusion splicing, cable jointing, and fiber cable fault finding using light source/power meter testing (training available).
• Installation and maintenance of road cameras, luminaires, and other roadside infrastructure.
• Conduct general groundworks including excavation and reinstatement to meet required standards.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, and plant on a daily basis.
• Complete required documentation, including NICEIC test sheets, to the agreed standard.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining site safety at all times.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call rota system.
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to analyze electrical equipment and camera systems.
• Knowledge of CCTV and camera network infrastructure (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts, nights, and weekends.
• Good communication skills and the ability to report issues promptly and clearly.
