Groundworker - Need High Risk Confined Space Entry

Job Description:

We are recruiting an experienced Groundworker ('Top Man') for a long-term freelance role in Widnes. The successful candidate will be working on a framework project for United Utilities, ensuring the safety and efficiency of colleagues working in high-risk confined spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the safety of colleagues working in high-risk confined spaces.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit procedures for confined spaces.
• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with general groundworks, including excavation, trenching, and reinstatement.
• Communicate effectively with the team to maintain a safe and productive working environment.

Requirements:

• High Risk Confined Space Entry certification (essential).
• Valid CSCS card (essential).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in groundworks or construction.
• Proven experience working in and around confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of H&S regulations related to confined spaces.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working on utility projects, particularly for United Utilities.
• Additional relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid, Manual Handling).

Contract Details:

• Freelance basis (long-term ongoing work).
