Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and provision of an engaging curriculum through appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, making policies and teaching strategies
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality learning experiences meeting the National Curriculum with regards for the schools aims, policies and schemes of work. This includes online learning where necessary
  • Set engaging and challenging tasks ensuring high level of students’ interest
  • Provide developmental feedback to students guiding their learning to the next level
  • Provide reports on individual student progress to the Headteacher and parents
  • Attend Student Led Consultations and Open Evenings as required and directed
  • Adhere to school behaviour management policy setting clear expectations for students and establishing routines
  • A willingness to learn every step of the way
  • Experience teaching in a Secondary setting
  • Hold Qualified teacher status and relevant degree
  • Be able to demonstrate recent classroom experience
  • Be dedicated to raising standards and be a good role model
