General Practice Accountant- Audit 

Location: Taunton

Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated General Practice Accountant to join an expanding accountancy practice. As a Qualified Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team of experienced accountants in preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with tax compliance.

Role Overview

As aGeneral Practice Accountant – Audit, you will play a key role in managing client accounts, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional financial services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and audit documentation.
  • Conducting audits for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with senior accountants and partners to provide high-quality advisory services.
  • Offering financial insights and support tailored to client needs.
Key Skills 
  • Experience in audit planning and completion, reporting to management.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and senior team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  • Charity accounts/audit experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Full driving license with access to a car (preferred).
Qualifications
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
