Role: Marketing Manager

Location: Taunton

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (hybrid, minimum of 2 days per week in office)

Salary: £47,243 per annum

About the role - 

Content Strategy Development and Implementation: Collaborate with the Head of Brand and Content to define, manage, and execute the UKHO’s content strategy, aligning with their vision and positioning as a leader in this sector.

Creating Impactful Content and Messaging: Develop compelling messaging for integrated marketing campaigns that support marketing objectives, and bring these to life through creative and innovative content initiatives.

Targeted, Audience-Centric Communications: Utilise detailed market, customer, and competitor insights to effectively reach audiences at various stages of the customer journey and across different touchpoints.

Brand Reputation Management: Oversee the global brand reputation through proactive PR activities and media relations, while managing reactive crisis communications when necessary.

Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, senior managers, and SMEs, and oversee relationships with external agencies to ensure communications activities meet marketing objectives.

Data and Insight Utilisation: Employ a data-driven approach to continuously optimise content strategies, providing evidence-based recommendations based on analytics, audience insights, and performance metrics.

Personal requirements - 

Content Strategy – Expert in devising and leading content initiatives that seamlessly integrate with marketing strategies to fulfil business objectives.

Content Creation – Talented in producing creative and innovative content that vividly brings subjects to life through engaging storytelling.

Campaign Delivery – Proven track record in developing and customising content for diverse touchpoints and channels (both online and offline), employing various tactics (e.g., blogs, social media, video) to enhance customer engagement throughout their journey.

PR and Media Relations – Skilled in managing PR activities, media relations, and crisis communications to boost brand awareness, perception, and trust.

Digital Marketing – Experienced in utilising social media and digital marketing techniques, including SEO, analytics, and performance metrics, to maximise content visibility and engagement.

Project and Budget Management – Proficient in managing budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery, coupled with strong stakeholder management abilities.

Technical Tools – Adept in using industry-standard tools and platforms for content management, analytics, and design, such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Suite, and CRM systems.

MUST HAVES - 

Degree in Marketing/English/Communications (or relevant field). Or CIM Marketing level 6 and above.

5 Years experience within B2B marketing/content creation/PR Media relations/messaging development.

Experience in translating concepts to engageable content, delivering campaigns, managing budgets and timelines.
