Senior Site Engineer. Wanted.
We are searching for a experienced Senior Site Engineer to work on various construction site throughout Somerset and parts of Devon. This will offer someone the opportunity to work on a permeant basis with a credible contractor you will also be given the opportunity to explore career development should career prgression be of interest.
This role is with a well-respected, established and highly profitable civils contractor who delivers a variety of infrastructure schemes across various sectors they are searching for the newest member of their growing team. You can expect to be working on schemes from 1 million to 20 million in value.
The Senior Engineer's responsibilities may include but not be limited to managing different parts of construction projects, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders, supporting junior engineers. The successful Engineer, should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills, display a superb work ethic and thrive under pressure.
Site Engineer Responsibilities
- Undertaking Surveys.
- Setting out of sites.
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
- Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
- Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee the construction of roads and sewers
- Liaise with highways and services providers to ensure completed works are passed off as soon as work is completed
- Report any change in drawings to QS ensuring we have priced work correctly
- Work as part of the construction management team so we hit deadline dates on all aspects of works
Key Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or similar.
- Experience in similar roles.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of Engineering, Construction, and Design.
- Great leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
- UK civils project experience
- Have the right to live and work in the UK.
