Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local authority, to approach and appoint an experienced interim Building Control Surveyor,a vital role in ensuring that construction projects are safe, sustainable, and meet all legal requirements:

1.Compliance with Building Regulations

  • Ensuring that construction projects meet current building codes and safety regulations.
  • Reviewing and approving plans, designs, and specifications for new buildings, extensions, and renovations.
  • Issuing building permits and other relevant approvals.

2.Site Inspections

  • Conducting regular site inspections to verify that construction work complies with approved plans, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Identifying potential issues or non-compliance during construction and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to on-site.

3.Risk Management

  • Assessing potential risks associated with building designs, materials, or construction methods.
  • Ensuring fire safety, structural integrity, and energy efficiency are addressed in building designs and during construction.

4.Communication and Coordination

  • Liaising with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design or construction issues.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance on building control matters to construction teams and developers.
  • Acting as a point of contact between the construction team and local authorities or government agencies.
