Your new role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will lead a team of Building Surveying professionals who deliver a range of project work to deliver strategic outcomes for the council. You will oversee and lead the development and implementation of major building projects as well as lead the council's condition surveying programme.

  • Ensure that the council meets legal responsibilities in relation to CDM regulations, where these apply to projects and programmes.
  • Providing building surveying services for internal council services (schools and education).
  • Supporting to develop major maintenance projects across school and non-school estates, making recommendations to prioritise work proposals which minimise risk.
  • Supporting or leading on bids for external funding or building condition and decarbonisation projects.
  • Managing a team of c. 3 professional staff.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant degree, or a professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • AssocRICS membership, or CIOB membership.
