Experienced SHEQ Advisor required to join a leading utilities contractor for the delivery of a 3bn framework continuing for the next five years across the Southwest, including Somerset, Bristol, Hampshire & Dorset. Main works are due to commence on site in the early spring next year. This is a negotiated project for a key client with a good pipeline of future works in the area.
Reporting to the visiting SHEQ Director and working with the Operations Manager and Site Team, you will be responsible for the management of the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems through to handover in early 2030.
This SHEQ Advisor role will involve regular client liaison, SHEQ Guidance, supporting bid & tender stage, carrying out risk assessments, method statements and CDM plans, responsible for inductions, development of SHEQ material and training.
As SHEQ Advisor you will lead your projects as NO.1 SHEQ support, holding ultimate responsibility for the health & safety standards throughout sites
This SHEQ Advisor role is with a busy nationwide contractor group, with a turnover in excess of 600m, and secured workload in the Water, Telecoms and Rail sector.
Projects range in size from the smaller 3m up the 3bn in value. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced SHEQ Advisor looking to work regionally, with a proven track record in the utilities or construction sector.
You will be an experienced SHEQ Advisor with a proven track record within an established main contracting organisation, demonstrating the ability to deliver similar value schemes. Key attributes will include excellent client, and site team management ability, SHEQ standards knowledge and the relevant / NEBOSH certificate, plus focus and determination.
