Locum Conveyancer position available! Opportunity to join a well regarded multi-office regional high street practice in the Taunton area, for 3 - 6 months, starting January 2025.
Overview:
This lovely firm is seeking a Residential Property Conveyancer to assist their team on an interim locum basis. The reason for the requirement is to assist a generally busy period, whilst also helping cover an extended maternity leave.
You will be working as part of an existing team of circa 15 other fee earners and assistants (spread over the firm's offices) and will be required to handle all aspects of the residential conveyancing process, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold land, and ideally any other associated residential property matters that come through, on an unsupervised basis.
There is admin support available. On site attendance is important for this role although there may be a small element of remote working if essential to the candidate.
Market rates payable on an hourly self employed basis. Full time hours preferable but can be flexible as to part time. Temp to perm option also potentially available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate:
- Will be a Residential Property Solicitor/Legal Executive/Licensed Conveyancer with 4+ years experience in the area of residential conveyancing law (or otherwise qualified by experience).
- Will be confident actively unsupervised on files and be able and willing to manage your own caseload from start to finish.
- You will enjoy working as part of a team as well as self sufficiently..
- You will be based locally and happy to work on site in the office.
