Job Title: Service Advisor

Location: Taunton

Hours: 42.5 hours per week (No weekends)

Salary: 26,000 to 32,000 per annum, plus bonuses

As a Service Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers have a positive and seamless experience when their vehicles are serviced or repaired. You will act as the main liaison between customers and the workshop team, facilitating effective communication and ensuring that all customer needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and handle service bookings in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assess customer service needs and provide accurate information on repair costs and timescales.
  • Communicate effectively with the workshop team to ensure timely completion of services and repairs.
  • Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicles and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Prepare and present service invoices, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain detailed records of service and repair work, including customer interactions.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in line with company policies and industry standards.
  • Upsell additional services and products where appropriate, while prioritizing customer needs and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and manage customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to the role.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
