We are working with a lovely charity in central Taunton to help them recruit for a Temporary Executive Assistant to the Operations Director. This role is part time 20 hours per week, ideally over 5 days but 4 would be considered, initially for 3 - 6 months. They would love to find a dedicated, highly organised Temporary Executive Assistant to support our Operations Director during a busy period of growth and transition. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful work and gain valuable experience in the charity sector.The RoleAs the Temporary Executive Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Operations Director, helping ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities. This is a varied role, requiring a proactive, detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Operations Director, including diary management and meeting coordination.
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Manage incoming communications, including email and phone enquiries.
  • Assist with project management tasks, ensuring timelines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Organise board meetings, including preparing agendas, circulating papers, and taking minutes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional relationships.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Assist in any ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and other administrative tools.
  • High levels of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for therapy and a desire to contribute to the charitys mission.
