AL787: Assistant Worktop ControllerLocation: Taunton / BridgewaterSalary: £39,500First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Workshop Controller on behalf of one o four clients.Working hours are Monday to Friday 0730 – 1730.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing feedback to customers on their service/repair, including pricing (estimating) of additional work when required, explaining the reasons fully and competently.
  • Assist with the day to day running of the workshop.
  • Assist with the managing all staff within the department, communicating instructions to technicians and ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Costing jobs ready for invoicing.
  • Quality check job cards for audit purposes.
  • Assist with customers bringing in their vehicle for recall, scheduling and service or repair.
  • All aspects of compliance including DAF Check and RMI.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A working technical understanding of vehicles in order to clearly explain repairs/additional repairs to customers.
  • Customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations and an ability to up-sell services and products where appropriate.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Awareness of warranty guidelines, service intervals, etc would an advantage.
  • Be organised, efficient and able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Be flexible, energised and a team player.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Assist with the management of efficiency, productivity and utilisation.
  • Meet all KPI targets set out by depot manager.
  • Attend relevant product training courses.
