Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Home Moves Plus Officer for a local authority client based in Somerset.

In this role, you will support tenants in downsizing to more suitable housing, freeing up much-needed accommodation while providing tailored advice, managing housing applications, and collaborating with key stakeholders to improve housing availability in Somerset.

Key Duties:

  • Assist tenants moving to suitable homes, providing advice, processing applications, and managing financial incentives.
  • Maintain accurate tenancy records, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, housing associations, removal services, and community partners to support tenant moves.
  • Monitor KPIs, improve self-service options, and report on housing outcomes to funders and commissioners.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience in social housing, lettings, and tenancy support, with knowledge of housing policies.
  • Skilled in assisting tenants, handling safeguarding concerns, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in managing tenancy records, using housing systems, and processing financial incentives.
  • Experience working with partners, monitoring KPIs, and producing housing reports.

What's on offer:

Salary: £17+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
