Room Leader or Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Nurse Seekers are proud to be recruiting a passionate, experienced Room Leader or Qualified Nursery Practitioner for a fantastic nursery based near Pen Elm, Taunton. The successful candidate must have a real passion for childcare, and help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

Essential Criteria Needed

  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent national occupational standard in Early Years
  • Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role
  • Previous experience of working with children in EYFS including SEN
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  • Clear understanding of Ofsted policies and procedures
  • Passion for delivering high quality childcare and learning

Key Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate with other team members, children and parents effectively
  •  Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures
  • Liaise with and support parents and other family members
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions for continuous professional development
  •  To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed.
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the EYFS, ensuring the environment is highly stimulating
  • Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled
  • Look upon the nursery, as a “whole” where can your help be most utilised?
  • Be constantly aware of the individual needs of all children
