Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Taunton
Start Date: September
Pay: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEND in a classroom setting
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support teachers in preparing and delivering lessons
- Monitor and report on students' progress and development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support students' needs
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Strong understanding of various SEND conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable)
