gap personnel Exeter, are recruiting for a Yard Operatives on a temporary to permanent contract for a distribution company based in Taunton, Somerset.
As a Warehouse & Yard Operative, you will be required to assist with deliveries, un-loading and loading of vehicles at the branch, safe storage of deliveries and the movement and accurate picking of orders. We are looking for someone who will maintain a clean and safe working environment and who will be an asset to the day-to-day operations within the branch.Â
As a Yard Operative your duties will include:
- Helping to pick, process and pack customer orders.
- Able to follow direction for safe picking and processing of orders.
- Ensure items are all packed safely and securely.
- Observing safe systems of working.
- Assisting on local van deliveries
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are met and best practice standards observed.
About You:
- Experience with Manual Handling
- Happy with Heavy Lifting – 50kg+
- Certified Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Full training provided.
Working Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Thursday, 0700am – 1630pm & Friday, 0700am – 1600pm
- £11.67ph per hour
Due to the site location your own transport is required to gain access to the site.

Operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abide by health and safety legislation in respect of yourself and others.
