Interim Senior Finance Manager

Location: Taunton, UK

Rate: Up to 300 per day

Working Hours: 2 or 3 days per week (potential to increase to 5 days per week in future)

About the Role:

Hays are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Finance Manager to join our clients team in Taunton, Somerset. This role is pivotal in managing our financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of their small finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance management, with specific experience in using Xero and handling payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations of the organisation.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payroll administration.
  • Utilise Xero for financial reporting and bookkeeping.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and financial planning.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Xero is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in payroll management.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant finance qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are preferred.
