Senior Quantity Surveyor
Red Rock consultants are currently working with a UK leaderin the civil engineering sector.
We are seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyorto join our clients dynamic team, delivering exceptional civil engineering projects across the Bristol area.
Our client'sportfolio includes highways, infrastructure, residential, commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare sectors, with project values ranging from 1m to 10m.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide a comprehensive quantity surveying service, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring projects remain within budget and providing accurate financial forecasts.
- Managing contracts, producing procurement schedules, and analysing subcontractor quotations.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Delivering clear, detailed reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to achieve project objectives.
- Measuring, valuing, and processing subcontractor payments.
- Assisting in mentoring and guiding junior Quantity Surveyors.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior QS in the civil engineering sector.
- Track record of managing projects ranging from 1m to 10m.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT, or bespoke contracts.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in Quantity Surveying, RICS membership preferred).
