Long - Term Teachers are seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant, who is confident to support a resource class within a mainstream school. You will be working with students in key stage 1 and 2, who have a special educational need, this includes learning, physical and social, emotional, mental health needs. You must be adaptable, caring and patient along with a hard working work ethic, you will be working alongside other TA’s, however you must be able to use initiative to carry out tasks independently.

Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one or group mentoring sessions to students- Assist students with understanding and applying mathematical concepts- Develop and implement physical education activities to promote fitness and well-being- Support preschool-aged children in their early learning and development- Provide tutoring in various subjects, including applied behaviour analysis techniques- Offer guidance and care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being- Educate students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual requirements- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals- Collaborate with teachers to create personalized learning plans for students- Utilize your knowledge of early childhood education principles to enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

- Strong background in mathematics, physical education, or related fields- Experience working with preschool-aged children or toddlers is preferred- Familiarity with applied behaviour analysis techniques is a plus- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Passion for educating and mentoring individuals of all ages- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning

The position is full time, working Monday to Friday, term time only.
