About Us: Reed is recruiting for an SEMH school based in Taunton who are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team and support our mission of fostering academic excellence and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring all students are supported in their learning.
- Individual Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are ready for use in the classroom.
- Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy, helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as record-keeping, marking, and organizing classroom activities.
- Supervision: Supervise students during break times, lunch periods, and on school trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communication: Liaise with teachers, parents, and other staff members to provide updates on student progress and any concerns.
