We work on behalf of a fantastic special school based close by to Taunton that are looking for someone to join them ideally for ASAP to lead English classes. The school look after a range of special needs which include Specific learning difficulties, MLD, SLD, ASD & SEMH, aged 7-19.

They're a wonderful school that pride themselves on being an incredibly supportive environment for staff & pupils. They are a challenging environment to work in but also a very rewarding one!

The role

This role would be teaching English classes (specifically Literacy) up to GCSE level. The school are open to a range of different applications, so whether you're an experienced English teacher looking for par-time or an English specialist unqualified teacher looking for full-time - they are open to hearing from you!

You must possess strong classroom management, be proactive, calm, confident and be naturally good dealing with challenging behaviour. Due to the needs of the students, ideally you would some form of SEN/SEMH experience. Due to the flexibility with this role, the rates are varied as they are open to having a teacher come in and lead pre-planned cover or take full teaching responsibilities.
