We are seeking a Tutor with expertise in Functional Maths and English, who also has experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in students' educational journeys by providing tailored learning experiences.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in Functional Maths and English to a diverse range of students, including those with SEN.
- Assess individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for improvement.
- Prepare educational materials that support varied learning needs and styles.
- Maintain records of students' progress and challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tutor in Functional Maths and English.
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of different age groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Patience, creativity, and flexibility in teaching approaches.
- Relevant educational qualifications, preferably a degree in education or a related field
- PGCE with QTS is desirable but not essential.
