JOB TITLE: Fabric Technician

LOCATION: Taunton

Fabric Technician required to join our clients maintenance team based in Taunton to handle various fabric-related tasks including painting, maintenance, and decorating across their facilities.

As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and installation of various building fabric elements, with a specific focus on fire doors. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and enhance the overall safety of our campus facilities.

Role & Responsibilities Fabric Technician:

  • Carry out general building repair and maintenance
  • Changing of locks, door closures and other door furniture
  • Basic plumbing and small leak repairs
  • Small painting, decoration and making good Fitting of carpet tiles
  • To apply relevant trade skills to carry out reactive maintenance standards
  • Ensure health and safety of sites are met to regulation standards

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience - working within general building and maintenance repairs
  • Relevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 2 in a trade or Building Maintenance Carpentry & Joinery/ is preferred.
  • Essential to have excellent client facing skills
  • own tools
