Role: SEO Manager – eCommerce Growth Agency – 100% Remote

Location : 100% Remote – Must be eligible to live and work in the UK (Team Social events/client meetings ect are in London once a month/quarter)

Salary : £40k - £55k plus bonus and benefits

How much do you want an SEO role that focuses on client management and building a technical SEO skillset?

This is not your average SEO role, firstly is 100% remote (which is currently the most searched term on LinkedIn jobs) the role focuses on the client, the role needs a proactive approach to client management going to the client with your results and providing you’re the best at what you do.

But what about the role?

You will be a solo contributor working with a range of eCommerce clients.

You will be responsible specifically for all aspects of SEO as well as client management, they are looking for an outgoing individual who relishes interaction with clients and can grown and mentor a team.

You will be liaising and collaborating with other team members on some initiatives on a relatively regular basis.

SEO is the most important function for the agency, it originally started as an SEO and it continues to be a focus for the company. Your efforts in continuing to build and grow their visibility, traffic relevance and volumes will be paramount to achieving the client's goals.

Another is on the content side. There’s a constant demand for good quality content on product pages, across blog and social sites which push traffic to the main ecommerce clients. That content needs scrutiny to ensure it’s effective and optimised.

Office set up

The role will be 100% remote but you can work from the office on an ad-hoc basis. They have regular team meet-ups in London to keep you grounded and connected to the business.

What will the role be doing:

  • Lead the direction of the technical SEO department,
  • Build relationships with senior client stakeholders to get buy-in for the SEO campaigns we are running, working closely with Client Services to secure renewals and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Work with the directors to resource effectively, ensuring the right people have the right work and we are playing to our strengths at all times.
  • Build upon our existing SEO offering by supporting the team as they develop, test and document industry-leading SEO products.
  • Continue to refine our existing product set, defining and documenting the relevant processes and upskilling the wider department.
  • Work closely with the Content Strategy, Creative, Paid and Digital PR teams to ensure alignment across our full-service offering.

Skills you’ll need:

  • Hands-on as well as strategic SEO expertise, and the ability to pivot between both approaches when required.
  • A proven track record of managing, leading and motivating large teams, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Clear experience of helping others develop both softer and more technical skills, and helping others grow into more senior roles.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • The ability to present clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the tenacity to see ideas through to fruition.
  • High level of competence using Analytics platforms including Google and Adobe.
  • Understanding of multi-channel marketing and how Absolute fits into the wider marketing mix.
  • Advanced technical SEO knowledge, including usage of log files for SEO analysis and familiarity in working with popular JS frameworks such as AngularJS, React and Vue.j
