We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Building Surveyor. The role is full time and will be offered on a permanent basis with a salary of approx. £54k.

Please note this role requires a full UK Driving Licence and RICS Qualification.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Plan and deliver safe, timely, and high-quality reactive and preventative maintenance programmes
  • Conduct surveys and inspections to evaluate, diagnose, and specify repairs or improvements for properties and land
  • Manage project documentation, reports, appraisals, quality assurance, and on-site progress monitoring
  • Handle technical aspects of projects, including inspections, specifications, contract documents, and schedules of work
  • Ensure contractors comply with statutory safety requirements by reviewing risk assessments and method statements
  • Monitor contractor performance, ensuring targets are met, quality standards upheld, and recurring issues addressed
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to meet satisfaction targets, employing innovative approaches to address diverse needs
  • Track and report project costs, budgets, and expenditures, ensuring accurate forecasts and value for money
  • Inspect work for compliance with building and safety regulations, maintaining detailed records
  • Manage final accounts, valuations, and contractual matters, including disputes and variations
  • Resolve queries and complaints promptly to maintain exceptional service for every project and customer
