Overview
We are working with a high-growth, national logistics business that is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to build the finance function from the ground up.
This privately owned business has expanded exponentially over the past three years and is preparing for further growth. This role would be best suited to an individual who has demonstrable multi- site experience and working within fast paced/ PE Backed SME environments with complex cashflow and modelling requirements. The right incumbent will therefore be confident adapting and leading an efficient finance function.
As the business prepared for further expansion it looks to implement new systems across the organisation. Your demonstrable experience improving and automating processes will support this operation and ensure a smooth transition. As with most SME environments, this business does require an individual who isn't afraid to role their sleeves up and get stuck in with the day to day; producing monthly management accounts, preparation and completion of VAT returns and cashflow management. Working closely with the FD and CFO, this Financial Controller will play a key part in this expansion and will support the company with their future growth plans.
What is required.
- Be a Qualified Accountant by ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
- Have experience managing a team.
- Experience restructuring and developing a finance function would be highly advantageous.
- Be a confident communicator. This role will see you getting out and about across the business, not only liaising with your immediate team but also external stakeholders.
