The Company

Seymour John are thrilled to be supporting with the recruitment for a financial accountant for our client based in Telford.

The Opportunity

This is an evolving role where you will support key stakeholders preparing the statutory accounts, where your key responsibilities to include:

Supporting with the group statutory audit and preparation of financial statements
Monthly consultations with stakeholders regarding the preparation of the monthly financial statements
Review of the monthly financial statements of the business entities to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal guidelines
Create and review process descriptions and documentations which are considered in the financial accounting manual
Proactively verify and test new tools whilst ensuring compliance with process standards.
Query of training needs and holding internal training courses

Personal Profile

Ideally you be working towards an ACCA/ACA qualification, alongside experience of preparing statutory financial statements and audit. You will have a working knowledge of excel including formulas and pivot tables and vlookups, with the ability to perform in a fast paced and high-pressured environment. You will be working with people from both financial and non-financial backgrounds, where strong communications skills will be key. This role does involved some overseas travel (2-3 times a years).
