The Financial Controller will be responsible for driving improvements in commercial decision-making, operational and financial control, reporting, and forecasting within the a highly successful FMCG manufacturer.

They are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join their Ingredients Business Unit on an 18-month fixed term contract. This role is essential in providing financial decision-making support and acting as a key business partner within the division.
Description
- Supporting the Commercial Director and the Head of Financial Controlling in evaluating the strategic direction of the division.
- Designing robust decision-making processes for market participation.
- Developing forward-looking pricing strategy tools and systems to assess the impact of currency fluctuations.
- Taking full responsibility for the Ingredients P&L and Balance Sheet in SAP.
- Reviewing monthly reporting and future outlooks, including budgets and forecasts.
- Investigating, explaining, and challenging variances to forecasts affecting profitability.
- Ensuring financial impacts of all activities are analyzed and understood prior to decision-making.
- Overseeing capital expenditure requests and conducting post-completion payback assessments.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and encouraging teams to achieve their targets.
- Managing two direct reports and providing support for the Head of Financial Controlling as required.
- Offering business partner support to the Commercial Director and assisting in delivering key projects.
Profile
- CIMA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience within the FMCG environment.
- Strong systems capability, preferably with SAP experience.
- Excellent influencing skills and commercial acumen.
- Strong relationship-building and communication abilities.
- Experience in producing detailed budgets and forecasts with comprehensive variance analysis.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive and "can-do" attitude.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
