Management Accountant Telford

The Company

My client is a highly successful SME, providing specialist services to construction, infrastructure, MOD, manufacturing, rail and general industry sectors.
They are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join them in their modern premises in Telford, working as part of their dynamic and friendly team.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will have responsibility for the following:

Maintain the cash flow model, including cash flow reconciliation.
Manage company bank accounts.
Allocate Purchase Invoices to POs; allocate project costs to projects, upload invoices.
Manage creditors, overdue payments, credit control.
Raise sales invoices and allocate to projects.
Manage payment to debtors.
Onboarding new customers.
Maintain company vehicle accounts and track card allocations; manage fuel card and track card spend and allocation.
Oversee payroll for outsourcing.
Bank and finance reconciliations.
Quarterly VAT reconciliations and submissions.
Management Accounts WIP, Corporation Tax, Prepayments/Accruals, Salary Journals, Month End Journals.
Work with Compliance to ensure insurances are paid and are the best quality and fit for purpose.
Work with Compliance to onboard new suppliers.
Completion of PQQs.
Business Financial Analytics Costings, Forecasts, Scenario Reporting, Budgets.
CIS Returns for Subcontractors.
Improving Financial Processes in line with the business.
Oversee Project Finances.

The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Management Accountant, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

Ideally you will be a Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
By nature, you are a self-starter who can work on your own initiative.
You are analytical and conscientious.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong relationship building skills with customers and colleagues.
Enjoy working in a small, close knit and friendly team.
Strong Excel skills.
