- Building strong relationships with clients and supporting their day-to-day financial operations.
- Keeping clients' accounts updated and delivering management information to help their businesses succeed.
- Processing management journals, including prepayments, depreciation, and accrued/deferred income.
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and monthly management reports.
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Utilizing cloud-based software like Xero and Microsoft Excel to provide an efficient and seamless service.
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure a smooth client experience.
- A strong background in bookkeeping, with proven experience in either practice or industry.
- A high level of hands-on expertise with Xero and familiarity with other Xero apps.
- Experience in preparing management accounts and running monthly financial reports.
- A solid understanding of VAT and compliance requirements.
- An AAT qualification (desirable but not essential).
- A passion for working with clients and the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- A positive, team-oriented approach to work.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a changing workload.
