The firm is undergoing significant growth and are looking for a senior accountant, to lead the delivery of end-to-end finance functions for a portfolio of clients, often in the charitable and not-for-profit sectors. The firm is commutable from Beeston, Long Eaton, Derby, and North Leicestershire.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be the primary finance contact for your portfolio clients. This job combines accountancy practice and industry accountant roles, in a position where you work closely with and can add value to your clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present routine management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Develop budgets and support longer-term financial planning.
  • Produce year-end accounts and manage relationships with external auditors and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist with funding proposals and donor reporting.
  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day financial activities, including pay runs, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Continuously review and improve financial systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Provide financial leadership by delivering strategic advice to Executive Teams and Boards.
