We are seeking an industrious Accounts Assistant to bolster our Accounting & Finance department within our Industrial/Manufacturing sector in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing payments, and providing general accounting support.

Description
The Accounts Assistant will;
- Maintaining and updating financial records.
- Processing invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Supporting the finance department with various tasks, including direct debit payments and credit control.
- Performing administrative tasks to support the finance department.
- Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports.
- Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.
Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- An educational background in finance, accounting or relevant field.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numeracy and organisational skills.
- An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- The ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team-working skills.
