Design Engineer

Telford

Up to £40k per annum (depending on experience)

Monday Thursday - 40hrs

We are currently supporting a successful and established manufacturer in Telford in their search for an experienced Design Engineer. This would be a great opportunity for someone who really likes to get heavily involved in all elements of the design process - with the manufacturing being on-site it really allows the design team to view first-hand their creations come to life, as well as offering the opportunity to work with some very high-profile customers. This role is working a 4-day work week (Monday Thursday) with possible overtime required depending on company needs.

The Design Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Producing 3D concept and production models for a variety of products and components

Creating detailed production and assembly drawings

Carrying out testing and calculations to support initial design development

Liaising with supplier and customers on project requirements and status

Supporting departments with problem resolution

Maintaining up to date records and documentation for production and approvals

Skills and Experience

Previous knowledge and experience using a 3D Package is essential (Solidworks)

Must have a degree within a design/engineering discipline

Strong experience in designing solid-surface products for manufacturing

This role would suit a candidate who has previously worked as a Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / Product Designer / Product Design Engineer
