  • Collaborate as part of a technical team to deliver testing services, ensuring that all targets set by the Operations Manager are met.
  • Conduct laboratory tests to generate accurate and reliable data that supports product investigations and development.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electrical Equipment Safety Regulations (EESR) and their application in product testing.
  • Prepare and present detailed test results to effectively communicate test progress and outcomes to management.
  • Perform fault-finding investigations and compile comprehensive reports to document findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep training records up to date with the goal of expanding testing capabilities and ensuring continuous professional development.
  • Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and safety protocols, while performing additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist the laboratory team with the setup, operation, and breakdown of lighting equipment, ensuring adherence to testing protocols.
  • Perform laboratory tests with precision, generating data that supports thorough product investigations.
  • Assist with the calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools remain in optimal working condition.
  • Support laboratory maintenance and contribute to lab maintenance activities, helping to maintain an organised and safe work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff, offering advice and training as needed to foster team development.
  Experience:
  • Practical experience in electrical work of at least 3 years is necessary.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar desired.
  • Effective communicator both verbally and written.
  • IT skills to include Microsoft office suite.
  • An attention to detail is required.
  • An ability to challenge the status quo in a productive and positive manner.
